Born in Georgia (not the state but the Eastern European country), Khatuna Lorig grew up in West Hollywood. Because of her mixed nationality, she has had the unique opportunity of competing for both Team USA and for the Republic of Georgia (1996) in the Archery category. But it wasn't, however, until 2008 that she became a naturalized US citizen and competed in the 2008 games as an American in Beijing.
