Blast Phemy 2: A Midweek Music/Media Mashup

What: Alternative music and art rock fans rejoice. Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo will collaborate with sax player Ulrich Krieger and guitarist Alan Licht to play soundtracks from the American mid-century avant garde films of Stan Brakhage and others. The evening will also feature a screening of Huckleberry Lain’s animated film Parallel.

What: Generation X’ers may remember The English Beat’s ska/pop sounds from such ‘80s classic tunes like “Mirror in the Bathroom” and “I Confess.” Gen.
