Thanksgiving is a time for family and of course food. If you're not up for the hours of cooking involved in the autumn holiday (especially while you're refareeing discussions between various relatives), consider dining out or grabbing some tasty take-away from one of LA's fine restaurants. Choose some grub or a prix fixe meal from this list of Thanksgiving dinner spots in Los Angeles.

The three-course T-day meal includes choices such as grilled filet mignon with red wine shallot sauce, Atlantic salmon with artichoke, mushroom and sun dried tomato lemon sauce and chocolate or pumpkin soufflé with whipped cream. Cafe La Boheme

Cafe Pinot

Thanksgiving dinner begins at 2 p.m. at this Downtown dining staple. Delphine's executive chef Sascha Lyon guides the flavors of this year's “one if by land, two if by sea” themed Thanksgiving meal. A four-course prix fixe dinner costs $55 per person and features a Raw Bar menu selection of oysters, prawns and seafood ceviche, along with holiday classics like roasted turkey, wild mushrooms, sweet potato puree and country bread stuffing.

Descanso Gardens

Enjoy a Thanksgiving buffet in a lovely garden setting with seatings at noon and 2 p.m. Dish offerings on the three-course menu include Gingered butternut squash soup with wild thyme and spiced pumpkin seeds, herb roasted turkey with roasted garlic pan gravy, Golden Yukon mashed potatoes, apple cranberry cobbler and Chef’s array of mini Thanksgiving petit fours. Gladstones Malibu

It's one of those old school LA names that connotes Malibu. However, Gladstones has gotten a makeover in 2010 as it's now under the management of SBE (known for Hyde, Katsuya, etc.). The new Gladstones' second Thanksgiving will showcase a three-course menu of 'Turkey Day classics with a Gladstones twist.' The cost is $45 per person (not including wine and cocktails); $25 for children 12 and under. Meal time is on Thanksgiving day from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Gordon Ramsay at The London

Celebrate T-Day the Gordon Ramsay way--with gusto, flair and a bit of passion thrown into your meal. The hotel restaurant's festive three-course Thanksgiving menu includes pumpkin soup, Autumn mushroom risotto and roasted organic turkey with sage stuffing, and baked apple tarte tatin. The menu will be served between 11:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. The set meal costs $95 per person.
