Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day Community Parade
When: March 16
Where: Pier Ave. and Valley Dr. Hermosa Beach
What: If you live in the South Bay or just need a beach getaway on St. Patty’s Day, head down to this parade. There will be floats, marching bands, classic cars, clowns and more starting at 11 a.m.
2013 St. Patrick's Day Festival
When: March 17
Where: Taglyan Complex, Hollywood
What: This slightly early celebration of the most Irish day of the year takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. It includes a full day of wine, beer and spirit drinking, as well as food. And your $50 admission fee goes towards supporting the Children’s Tumor Foundation and The Irish Center.
Irish Center St. Patrick's Celebration
When: March 16
Where: Hilton Hotel, Glendale
What: Hosted by the Irish Center of Southern California, this annual celebration consists of an evening of dancing, dinner, music, and a drawing to win a trip to Ireland. Call 818-238-0445 to make reservations.
Shamrock ‘N’ Roll
When: March 16, 7 p.m.-1 a.m/
Where: The Queen Mary, Long Beach
What: This annual event showcases live entertainment with a Celtic rock music spirit. Tickets cost $15 online ($20 at the door).
St. Patty's Pub Crawl
When: March 16-17, 12 p.m.-2 a.m.
Where: Over 20 venues along the Walk of Fame, Hollywood
What: Over 20 area venues are set to participate in this bar event, which bills itself as the world's largest pub crawl. General admission is $25.
St. Patrick's Day at O'Brien's Pub
When: March 15-17
Where: O'Brien's Irish Pub and Restaurant, Santa Monica
What: Head over to one of Santa Monica's most beloved local watering holes for musical St. Patty's celebrations. The party starts on the 15th with The Lads, continuing through to the 16th with Irish punkers Nobody's Heroes. The pub opens bright and early--6 a.m.--on the Irish day to end all Irish days.
St. Patrick's Day Festival at L.A. Live
When: March 17, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Where: L.A. Live
What: Celebrate St. Patty's in true Downtown LA style, at L.A. Live. This multi-venue celebration will take green revelers from Trader Vic's to Yardhouse to ESPN Zone. There will be a beer garden and live music including Ken O'Malley & The Twilight Lords. The event is free.
