Details: This year parade’s theme is “Fourth of July at the Beach” and Grand Marshals are the Santa Monica Ocean Lifeguards. Parking in Civic Center structure costs $3. Santa Monica Place (enter on 2nd St.) offers 2 hours free parking. All beach lots will be open. Parking meters available west of Main St. from Neilson Way.

What: Fourth of July Fireworks Festival
When: July 4, 5-9 p.m.
Where: CBS Studios Lot, 4024 Radford Ave.
Details: Musical entertainment on several stages. Magic shows for kids. Food. Drinks. VIP stage and world class fireworks. Purchase tickets ($20 for adults) online.

Where: Venice Recreation Center, 1800 Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach
Details: Body building, figure and bikini competition. The event is free to spectators but costs $80 to enter and compete.
