It's July 4th and that means fireworks! There are many shows in the city, but if you truly want to celebrate your inner pyromaniac, these are the best of the bunch. And remember fireworks are dangerous. Stay safe and leave the explosives to the professionals.

1. July 4th Fireworks Spectacular: A Ball at the Bowl with the LA Dodgers

This is the best of the best. Fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl. The 2008 Celebration honors our own Los Angeles Dodgers. Randy Newman performs and Dodgers stars make guest appearances. Catch the next game at one of LA's great Dodger bars.

2. The Rose Bowl - AmericaFest 2008

This marks the 82nd annual Rose Bowl July 4th celebration. In addition to spectacular fireworks there will be a performance from the California Philharmonic Orchestra.

3. Marina del Rey July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza

Head down to Marina Del Rey for a beautiful day by the beach. The event will be simulcast on KXLU, 88.9 FM.

4. 10th Annual Fireworks Festival - Journey Through Time

The Studio City Chamber of Commerce hosts this bash on the CBS lot. Great party, family friendly.

5. Gridlock 4th of July Celebration at The Queen Mary

For a truly unique experience, the Queen Mary can't be beat. It bills itself as California's largest fireworks display. Girlicious and the Spazzmatics lead a lineup of more than 15 live bands.

6. Fourth of July Spectacular at Cabrillo Beach

The San Pedro celebration boasts demonstrations from the US Coast Guard and the LAFD's firefighting boat. San Pedro Bands and the Golden State Pops Orchestra will perform. There will also be an artillery demonstration with cannons firing along the coastline.

7. Hansen Dam 4th of July Celebration 2008

The biggest fireworks display in the San Fernando Valley. This year's theme is "Unity Of The Communities."

8. Castaic Lake July 4th Celebration

This is a great spot for families. They've got music, pony rides, and of course, the lake. Bring your jet skis and have a blast.

9. LA Coliseum 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza

Music and fireworks at the LA Coliseum. This is a patriotic tribute to our men and women in uniform. There is no seating in side the Coliseum itself so head to the seating areas on Christmas Tree Lane or the South Lawn near the Natural History Museum.

10. Malibu Fireworks at Sea

Fireworks are launched over the Pacific from a barge off the coast. Head up early to find a good spot on the sand.
