What: Three former Miles Davis alums pay tribute to the man with the horn. The evening will also feature Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Marcus Miller, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Sean Jones.
Taste of the East Side
When: April 28, 1-5 p.m.
Where: Barnsdall Park in Los Feliz
What: In its third year, this event celebrates culinary excellence from LA's East Side neighborhoods of Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Highland Park and beyond. It highlights a roster of participating restaurants, demos and speakers. Proceeds benefit Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Barnsdall Art Park, SEE Los Angeles and Rose Scharlin Nursery School.
Santa Monica Mountains Trail Days

Where: Sycamore Canyon campground, Point Mugu
What: Once a year Angelinos get the chance to hit the trails (and work on them), barbecue and camp at Danielson Ranch in Sycamore Canyon as part of Santa Monica Mountains Trail Days. Camping is free on Friday and Saturday and your participation will help a good cause.
