In case you weren't camped out outside The Oscars or in front of your TV, the big night happened, and some of its key players even made history--like Daniel Day-Lewis, who was the first to win Best Actor three times. Speaking of which, to find out more about the Brit-Angeleno connection here in LA, read British Los Angeles. And in the meantime, here's the top list...
Oscar Winners 2013 (Top Awards)
Best Picture: Argo
Best Director: Ang Lee (Life of Pi)
Best Actress: Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook)
Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained); Yay! He's one of my favorite actors of all time!
Best Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables)
Best Original Screenplay: Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained)
Best Adapted Screenplay: Chris Terrio (Argo)
And my final word: shame on the Academy for not at least nominating Shame; Michael Fassbender gave a deeply haunting, moving performance and the Academy quivered with fear at touching the touchy topic of sex addiction.
