Rio Marchinhas Carnaval 2013 in LA

If you're a fan of exotic events in LA, you may already have plans to celebrate Chinese New Year with Chinatown's Golden Dragon Parade next weekend.

The festivities continue from there, next month, this time putting the spotlight on Brazil. As many of you may already know, March is Carnaval time in the South American country. The wild, exuberant celebration will also come to life in LA with the 13th annual Brazilian Carnaval: Exotica.

Taking place on Saturday, March 2nd at Club Nokia/LA Live, the event promises to seduce Angelenos with the Latin party spirit, sensuality and rhythms (including all-star Brazilian musicians and non-stop music and dancing).

Having drawn crowds upwards of 2,500 in the past, LA's Brazilian Carnaval is said to be an authentic replica of Carnaval in Rio.

Advance tickets cost $45 general admission and $65 for preferred seating; available through Brazilian Nights' website.
