Calling all cool jazz cats! Pasadena's symphony orchestra MUSE/IQUE is hosting an evening of cross-genre jazz on Monday, February 11th.
'Jazz Laid Down' will feature a rare public appearance by jazz legend Charlie Haden, who will play a song with pianist Larry Golding's (just a day after he's accepted his Lifetime Achievement Grammy).
Other highlights of the event include electro-acoustic jazz, funk and world music and a dance performance by Haylee Roderick choreographed by Joffrey Ballet choreographer Alice Alyse.
Jazz Laid Down will take place at The Castle Press in Pasadena, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $60 and include a wine reception, printing studio tour and the concert.
