The Edwardian Ball LA

Eccentric author/illustrator Edward Gorey is exhumed -- at least in spirit -- on February 23rd when The Edwardian Ball takes LA's Fonda Theatre by storm.

Experience the absinthe-hazed, gothically inclined world of the turn-of-the 19th century at this fanciful, stylish event where guests come decked out in Edwardian period threads, and steampunk attire.

The event's founders Rosin Coven and co-hosts Vau de Vire Society are set to put on a theatrical, choreographed stage show based on one of Gorey's works 'The Doubtful Guest.'

The fabricated Edwardian world within a club will also feature DJs, live music, circus performance, a portrait booth, parlor games, ballroom dancing and oh so much more decadence.

To purchase tickets visit the Edwardian Ball's website cost (they cost $40; $85 for VIP). Doors open at 8 p.m. All ages are welcome.
