We may be a long way off from the construction of a new LA football stadium (and an NFL home team), but that doesn't mean we can't root for our Nor.Cal cousins, the San Francisco 49ers in this Sunday's Super Bowl.
For those of you who decide to watch the game out and about, a few restaurants are accommodating Super Bowl watchers with dining specials.
Downtown's The Parish invites football fans to watch Super Bowl XLVII on their 80-inch flat screen while enjoying specially-fashioned tailgate sandwiches ($8-$11) and of course their signature Parish Burger ($14).
They'll also be offering a Gridiron Special ($40) that includes football favorites chicken wings, pork rinds and ESP Noble Ale. Doors open at 3 p.m.
If you're on the Westside, Napa Valley Grille also has a big screen TV (and an outdoor patio). They'll be serving up 50-cent chicken wings and $2 Pabst Blue Ribbons (in addition to their small plate brunch).
And -- conveniently located all over LA -- Chipotle has a special offer for diners on Super Bowl Sunday: buy six of more 'Burritos by the Box' and you'll get a free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos (when you bring back the receipt from your order to any branch by February 28th).
