Art meets malt next week at Rundown's Single Malt Smackdown.

The special Scotch whisky tasting and art event aimed at Rundown subscribers, will take place at the Mark Moore Contemporary Art Gallery in Culver City on Wednesday, January 23rd.

Highlights include a cocktail made with Balvenie Doublewood 12-year, along with kinetic 3-D art pieces by San Francisco-based creator Andrew Schoultz and abstract expressionist paintings by LA's Nano Rubio.

The party promises to present guests with some "serious Scotch," such as Caribbean Cask 14 Year and the newly released DoubleWood 17 Year. Scotch aficionados will be privy to a presentation by whisky expert Brian Summers (Library Bar, The Parish).

For more info on the event and subscribing, see Rundown's Facebook page, and their Event Brite.
