Attention all vegetarians, vegans and the veg-curious. January 14th is Meatless Monday!
To celebrate this culinary occasion, Susan Feniger and Kajsa Alger of Street (742 North Highland Ave.) will welcome Jenny Engel and Heather Goldberg into the kitchen to whip up a collaborative home-style vegan feast with an amalgam of recipes from their Spork-Fed cookbook and Street's vegan classics.
The special meal--available for $55 per person--will consist of dishes like tofu and hearts of palm crabcakes with remoulade; Personal Pot Pie with Fluffy Biscuit Top; and for dessert mini spiced sugar donuts drizzled in warm chocolate sauce.
Diners will also be able to purchase (chef-signed) copies of the publications from which these dishes were pulled: The Street Food and Spork-Fed cookbooks.
