It's burr-worthy in LA these days with the winds yesterday and a chill in the air (if you're a spoiled Angeleno). The chill is nothing to the average Mongolian Kazakh, accustomed to freezing temps in the winter.
Learn more about this amazing, mysterious culture, on January 3rd, when artist/storyteller Bonnie Folkins lectures at the Annenberg Space For Photography. Her talk, 'Riding With the Eagle Hunters' will focus on the rich heritage and customs of the Kazakh people who live nestled in Mongolia's Altai Mountains.
Between 6:30 and 8 p.m. Folkins will talk about traditions held sacred to the largely isolated group.
Tickets to the event will be available online on Wednesday, December 26 at noon and Thursday, December 27 at 9:30 a.m. with a limit of two tickets per person.
