Getting Into the Christmas Spirit in LA

By December 15, 2012

About Holidays, Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July in Los Angeles

Admittedly, I've been lagging in getting into the holiday spirit this year. Christmas and New Year's always seem to take me by surprise but 2012's been a particularly side-tracked year.

With all the buzz going around the Twitterscape and blogosphere about December 21st, 2012, my attention has gone right into all the Mayan festivities. LA--which has a special cultural connection to Mexico--will be a particular hotbed of activity. There will be all sorts of December 21, 2012 events like meditations, art shows and parties.

Although, that date has its own countdown, we're also of course counting down to Christmas Day. If you haven't done your holiday shopping yet check out the Totally LA Holiday Shopping Guide for quirky ideas. I've also updated my list of restaurants in LA offering Christmas dinner specials.

And last but not least... if all of this has failed to get you in the holiday mood (who are you, Mr. Grinch?) there's always this 'Celebrities and Santa Photo Gallery.'
