It's difficult to believe it's been 15 years since rapper Notorious B.I.G. died in a drive-by shooting on Wilshire Blvd.
Today, the LA Times re-opens the unsolved homicide case, in the wake of the County coroner's report having been unsealed yesterday.
It turns out Biggie Smalls (a.k.a. Christopher George Latore Wallace) had no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death (he was tested for such hard drugs as cocaine, codeine, morphine and methamphetamine).
The article goes on to say that it was a single bullet to the hip (piercing vital organs) that killed him.
No arrest has been made in the case, although FBI agents have had some theories--namely that the rap star may have been murdered by a hit man hired by a crooked LAPD officer acting on behalf of Death Row Records founder Suge Knight.
