Sepulveda's unmissable illuminated cube is now open for business. If you're not from the neighborhood, that would the Bel Air Bar & Grill (pictured above).
The eatery -- a West Side fixture since 1998 -- closed its doors in 2011 for a large-scale renovation. Last Thursday, it celebrated a soft-opening for press and friends, and by the weekend it was open to the public.
Owned by Susan Disney Lord, niece of none other than Walt Disney, Bel Air Bar & Grill serves up a mix of West Coast comfort food. The new menu includes dishes like roast beet salad, pear salad, bouillabaisse, grilled Scottish salmon, pan-roasted branzino and a range of pastas.
Located a stone's throw away from the Getty Center, one of the renovated restaurant's special features is a unique view. The aforementioned museum has quite a view itself, but Bel Air Bar & Grill actually boasts a vista of the Getty Center from its 'Sunset Room.'
If you don't come for the view or for a meal, be sure to at least pop by for a drink and a small side dish like their signature balsamic tempura onion rings.
Expanded under the refurbishment, the new and improved restaurant is now open for both lunch and dinner.
