The name Baron Wolman may sound like royalty; and it is, in a very LA way.
Wolman is one of the kings of rock photography, having snapped shots of rock stars like Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix. He also documented the Summer of Love in San Francisco, and has the distinction of being Rolling Stone's first photographer.
What better honor could such an artist/luminary get than to have a gallery dedicated to him? This will become a reality on Saturday, November 17th, when the Baron Wolman Gallery--brought to LA by Duncan Miller Projects Gallery--opens at 10969 Venice Blvd.
Chock full of photographs by the man himself (starting at a low $200), the gallery will rock the West Side with its opening reception, taking place between 7 and 9 p.m.
