Have you seen 'Death of a Salesgirl' yet?
It's being billed as an "absurdist tragicomdy of integrated media" and runs through November 17th at the Bootleg Theater. The aforementioned, coupled with its literarily referential title, certainly make it sound like a quintessentially post modern theatrical work.
'Salesgirl' is the tale of a woman's struggle to liberate herself from her past; the unlikely locale for this catharsis: a seedy Hopper-esque motel. Directed by Matthew McCray, it stars Patricia Scanlon and Paul Dillon. The multi-disciplinary performance features video projections (by award winner Adam Flemming), animation and a set crafted by award-winning designer Francois-Pierre Couture.
The show goes on Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.
