If you're a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of free spirit, and looking for something to do with the rest of your weekend, hop in your car and hit the road less traveled.
The 7th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival started yesterday but continues through Sunday. It ain't Burning Man, as they say. But this fest's mystical location promises at least an epiphany or two and some musical inspiration.
The family-friendly event features performances on two stages in an outdoor setting. The line-up includes: Steve Kimock (Zero, KVHW), Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads), Wally Ingram (David Lindley, Sheryl Crow) and Andy Hess (Black Crowes, Govt Mule).
Proceeds from Sunday evening's benefit concert by Wally Ingram and his super group bandmates will go to the LivingSchool (home school learning co-op) and Transmission (creative empowerment sessions for kids).
