When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's San Gennaro. This Italian festival to end all festivals takes place on Thursday, September 27th on Hawthorn Ave. (between Highland and Orange) in Hollywood.
Italian American celebrity hosts Jimmy Kimmel (technically only half Italian) and Adam Carolla will be on-hand to spearhead the San Gennaro festivities which include entertainment, cuisine, Italian food, music, genealogy research, a kid's corner, bocce, bingo, carnival rides, games and other surprise celebrity guests.
Galbani Cheese is the sponsor for the Italian Feast of San Gennaro, and some of its proceeds will go towards benefiting charities including food banks for the homeless and shelters for children and families.
