The art of raw and live food preparation has come a long way through the years -- such a long way that we're now seeing this culinary style being masterfully taught like any mainstream, traditional cooking genre.
Just this last week, award-winning chef Matthew Kenney -- a global authority on raw lifestyle -- opened his culinary school at The Market at Santa Monica Place. The raw eating hub, which focuses on health-driven meals, offers pro chefs and students of all ages a range of learning tools for raw and live food preparation.
At Matthew Kenney Culinary School, students can take four to eight week hands-on classes (and evening and one to two day weekend courses) in raw food preparation in a custom-designed setting, using state-of-the-art equipment.
Classes range from beginner -- like 'Fundamentals of Raw Cuisine' -- to advanced instruction.
