With Labor Day just around the corner, most Angelenos can barely think past this long holiday weekend.
However, there is something festive and colorful to look forward to just after the annual chill-fest.
Brazilian Day LA will be a celebration of all things--as the name implies--Brazilian, taking place at the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits, on September 8th from 12-6 p.m.
For the seventh year, LA peeps will get the chance to enjoy Brazilian food, crafts, goods, artists, bands and entertainment, all day. And the best part is that entrance is free.
A highlight of the special day: a Rio-style parade at 3 p.m.
In conjunction with the festivities, also that weekend, LA's Brazilian Consulate General is launching a site and streaming app for the long-running NPR Brazilian Hour radio show.
