If you're a foodie or a wino (like myself), you'll know of the term 'artisanal,' which describes finely crafted, generally local products.
Los Angeles magazine is hosting an event, Made in LA, that encompassed the spirit of 'artisanal.' it takes place on Wednesday, August 29th between 7 and 9 p.m. at Local 1205 (the new-ish gourmet market in Venice).
Made in LA will bring hand-crafted, artisanal wines from So.Cal's Bridlewood Estate Winery to Angelenos, along with Chicks With Knives bacon jam.
And if you're looking for a short distance weekend road trip, Bridlewood's winery isn't far from LA. It's located 30 miles north of Santa Barbara--just on the edge of Santa Ynez. Tour the barrel room or just enjoy Spanish-style architecture on the premises!
