Calling all archi-geeks and sculpture and design lovers!
If you haven't already been to Richard Neutra's modernist VDL Research House (the architect's residence and studio) in Silver Lake, here's a great excuse. From August 9th through September 16th, the space will house a site-specific installation by French artist Xavier Veilhan.
Dubbed 'Architectones,' it consists of sculptures--inspired by Suprematist creator Kazimir Malevich--placed throughout the property.
This isn't Veilhan's first site-specific work. He was the second contemporary artist chosen to exhibit at the Palace of Versailles in France (the first was kitsch-master Jeff Koons). His work is also on show on the grounds of Hatfield House outside of London.
