Lego has come a long way since the days of my childhood when my friends and I adored the multi-colored building blocks. These days, the toy line even includes box sets modeled after the work of famous architects like Frank Lloyd Wright.
It's nice to see Lego and its little sister line Duplo still thrilling kids of all ages.
If you and your kid are among the toys' legions of fans drop by the LA Public Library's Central Library at 630 W. Fifth St. in Downtown tomorrow, Tuesday June 26th for a special free Lego Duplo Event.
Activities, which take place between 11 a.m. and noon, are geared toward children under five years of age and include inspirational songs and guided building.
One of the not-to-miss features of the event is a larger-than-life Lego Duplo book.
Try to get there early as it's first come first serve.
