For francophiles, the countdown begins...just three days until Bastille Day, July 14th, that annual French holiday to end all French holidays.
LA is home to a great big French expat population so expect the summer fun from 4th of July to continue (well, I wouldn't necessarily expect fireworks, but definitely more festivities).
Check with the French consulate for more information on special events. Or--my advice--book a meal at one of LA's great French restaurants: La Cachette in Santa Monica, The Little Door on Third or Cafe Figaro in Los Feliz.
