Most Angelenos know how beautiful Pasadena's rural Arroyo Seco is. Perhaps you weren't aware of the fact that beyond the area's natural beauty, it is also rich in manmade treasures: its museums.
Come experience some incredible local historical museums on Sunday, May 16th at 'Museums of the Arroyo Day.' This annual event opens up five history-based museums in the vicinity for a free exploration.
Participating venues are: Heritage Square, the Los Angeles Police Historical Society Museum, the Lummis Home and Garden in Los Angeles, the Gamble House and the Pasadena Museum of History in Pasadena.
The theme of this year's event is 'Women in Early Los Angeles.' On 'Museums of the Arroyo Day' the museums will be open and free to the public from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
