Breast Cancer Awareness Month is just around the corner, in October. What better way to honor and bring awareness to this epidemic than to attend the eighth annual Fashion for the Cure fundraiser this Thursday, September 24th?
The event is hosted by the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. It will feature celebrity host Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse), and will take place at 6p.m. at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood. Local breast cancer survivors, models and celebrities who have been touched by breast cancer will be in attendance.
Also on the bill: a runway show of Diane von Furstenberg's Cruise/Pre-Spring Collection 2009/2010. In addition, there will be a silent auction for Grammy Awards tickets, a stay at the Shangri-La Hotel and dinner for 10 at Mastro's.
Seventy-five percent of the proceeds from the event will go to breast cancer patient services within the LA community. Twenty-five perfect will go to breast cancer research.
